1st "Dam U" River Race in Lytton, BC, Canada

Students gathered from seven different universities, with a total of 128 students and 80 outdoor enthusiasts (24 teams) and 30 volunteers. Our first event was a huge success.

Preliminary Road Trip from Vancouver to Panama

The team covered 13.000kms in 50 days to scout for communities that are motivated to work with us on outdoor community centres.

2007

Action Day in Futaleufu, Chile

On the 14th of March Free Flowing Rivers organized the community to make the largest ever-made activist sign in Patagonia. The photo made that day is in a book against dams in Patagonia. Many newspaper and magazine articles were written about that day.

Creation of "No More Dams in Patagonia" documentary

Currently been played in kayaking film festivals.

Students gathered from six different universities to raft this river that will soon be flooded.

Papagayo River Action Day

Students gathered on a bridge over the Papagayo to create a sign reading “Que Los Rios Del Mundo Fluyan Libres” (That the Rivers of the World Flow Free).

Action Day in Vancouver, British Columbia

River activists gathered at the Cleveland Dam in North Vancouver on March 14th, creating a sign that read “Water for Life, Not for Profit”. The event was to raise awareness about the proper, sustainable use of BC’s rivers.
